I have googled, but none of the reviews seems to care much about this. I'd be interested to know if it really supports 720p30 (or more), and how sharpness/white-balance/noise-reduction appears in regular room lighting.

I have a late 2013 (Haswell) 15" rMBP and the camera quality really does suck, both in good ambient light and low light.

For the money I spent on this system it really is my only gripe. Perhaps that and trying to use the mic while the fans are spinning up, sounds like I'm talking from the inside of a wind tunnel. They could do with repositioning the mic(s) so as to cause less interference from the fans, perhaps use a system like they do on the iPhone 5/5S with 3 mics to enhance noise cancelling.
Would like to see a webcam of atleast 2.1MP capable of 1080p60, perhaps include the larger pixel sizes of the iPhone 5S to enhance the low light performance.
C'mon I spent over £2k on this laptop, how much more is a slightly better camera, less than $10 I imagine, gives them something else for the sales pitch.

Also it's 720p.
