Webcam suggestions for Mac desktop?

I'm looking to purchase a webcam for my G5 tower. It needs to be Mac & iChat/AIM compatible, have a built-in microphone, and most importantly it has to be high quality video (iSight for Macbook equivalent).

Is it best to find an old external iSight on eBay? What other comparable options are out there? I would like to purchase it next week.

Anything FireWire will work automatically, and many different USB webcams will work with the Macam driver.

I don't know about the US but in the UK on eBay the External iSight runs at around £150 ($300)

If you want a cheap good quality one that works immediately upon being plugged in, go for the xbox 360's webcam.

as bizarre as it is that webcam is probably the most bang for your buck you're going to get for an apple computer.

I've had one for about a year now and it works perfectly.

If you have a camcorder you can use it if you have a place to put it.

i'd also like to know about it to be honest, so far it's the strongest contender for me (provided the new ACDs do not have isights..)
