Webcam that's as good as the iSight

Hi All,

I was just about to buy an iSight for my mum so she can comminicate on iChat only to find that it's been discontinued.
Can anybody recommend a good alternative that can transmit similar quality hi-res video on Skype and iChat. I'm guessing a firewire interface would be best but USB2 might do.

Not many around when I was looking a while back. Best bet is to have a look for a used iSight - eBay?

I'd look here for a list of USB cams that work, buy that app, and save yourself the $$$ of buying a used iSight.

The video capabilities of the iSight aren't all that phenomenal. The mic is good, but the video is average.
