Since it seems Apple wont be releasing a new external iSight anytime soon/ever. I'm looking for an alternative. Any suggestions. Performance over price.

Webcam...what to get?

Purchase with caution!
I have a 12" pbg4 and needed a webcam and couldnt quite justify 200 on an isight. (as nice as they are, get one on ebay if you have the cash.) Anyway, you have to really dig and dig and dig and well dig a lot more and make sure that your particular model WILL support mac osx. I went through a whole disaster with best buy and circuit city. several webcam returns later...and well guys who thought they new everything, i finally got the logitech 5000 somthing. it doesnt really even work as well as it does in windows (because no one has the time to write proper drivers for mac). its alright but its only supported in skype and ichat. once again, i bought the entire line of microsoft and logitech cams in a day. Search everything.
