Hi, i'm new to OS X as i received my new aluminum MacBook less than a week ago, and am so far loving it. Although, i need some help.

I'm needing to take some photos with a webcam as I have no other cameras and cannot use the iSight to take the photos that I want. I have tried plugging in my webcam which i know is compatible with OS X but, i can't seem to get PhotoBooth to use it. Help would be appreciated :)

Oh, and another thing, i've noticed that when i'm moving my macbook around (if i'm carrying it) sometimes i hear a distinct click. Should i be worried? Is this normal?

What kind of webcam do you have? Does it work anywhere else?

Possibly. Is it in response to your handling (when you squeeze the body or something), or just generally when it is being moved? What part of the computer is it coming from?

Xbox Live Vision, works on my Desktop PC.

Generally when being moved, to the right of the trackpad. I'm assuming thats where the HDD lies.
