Webdave not working with native mac client

I have a linux webdav server; windows and linux can connect to it without a problem. Mac native client cannot connect to it. I get a -50 error when trying to upload a file. With the mac I can modify and and create folders in the WebDav drive without any problems. When I get the error -50 there is a zero byte file in the webdav directory.

When I use a third party app "webdrive" and "cyberduck" I can upload files without a problem. Is there something that I am missing?

I am using 10.8.3...
