This has happened twice now and it makes no sense to me, just wondering if anybody else has any explanation.
My XS Max (had since new, still on iOS 13.4.1, and no problems encountered until now) suddenly refuses to load any webpages or apps (e.g. App Store) over 4G, neither will it connect to VPN. Strangely it will run Speedtest app which shows a download speed of 60-80 mbps. To add to the confusion, if I then enable Personal Hotspot and connect my iPad, everything will load on the iPad, with or without a VPN. Disconnecting from the iPad and switching off hotspot leaves the phone as before, unable to load anything.

I have done a hard reset which had no effect and am at a loss as to what is going on. I did clear it once by toggling Aircraft mode on and off but I can’t see why this would work when I was already able to connect the iPad via hotspot on phone. Any suggestions are appreciated.

If it makes any difference, I am using an eSim on 3 network (UK) which is providing the data, and physical sim Orange ES with data switched off.
