I am just starting out making websites and just wanted to know what everyone here thinks about my site

staying-social.com

this is my fist ever site and just want to know what is good/bad and what i can make better

what makes WordPress better?

Stylistically. It could enhance how your website looks.
WordPress uses plug-ins too, for comments, forums.. and a lot more.

TechCrunch, 9to5mac, Spotify all use WordPress.
Your website is a little clunky (IMHO), so I think it could help you a lot.

ok thank you, i will look into it

will i have to start from scratch again?

it will not enhance how the website looks, because op can replicate the layout of his/her current website to look exactly how it currently looks using wordpress... all wordpress does is give you the flexibility of working with large amounts of content and provides you the ability to use plugins in order to simplify some tasks.

Okay, - don't use WordPress.

Good luck with that beautiful site of yours.

So what should be added/taken away to make the site better?

Design is nice just doesn't feel quite polished. Your site takes up 100% width of the browser, I'd put a max-width. Some of the colors don't work well. Some of your icons aren't lining up properly. It's a lot of small details that just makes it look very amateurish.
