I want to create a personal website. I plan on using Weebly, thinking their starter package a fairly good deal. I want to create my own .com site, and I have used wordpress just for hosting in the past. Weebly lets you register a .com site but wordpress is cheaper.

So, thought on this? Wordpress for hosting + Weebly for the site? I dont see why not except I figured I'd ask to see if maybe someone has a reason it's a bad idea.

Never use your webhost to register your domain. Too many headaches could remain if you wish to pick another webhost, i.e., transferring your domain.

I recommend name.com or namecheap.com for registering your domain and then pick a webhost. I'm not familiar with weebly so I can't comment on whether they're good/bad/indifferent.
