So, my aluminum macbook is having a weird "glitch"...

I was fidgeting with my cell phone (LG Venus, i think). i had my phone slid open, and i happened to run it along the right side of the macbook, near the return and delete keys... and it put my computer to sleep. i did this a couple more times to make sure i was right and not going crazy. what the heck?

There's a magnet somewhere in the case on the MacBook that when the lid closes it flips a switch that tells the computer to sleep. You've stumbled into that switch :)

Aha!

i knew i'd end up looking like an idiot with this question!
