I just got my new 16GB iPhone 4 and would like to know if any current users of week 33 production could share whether their device is running on 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 firmware? I've heard that week 33 production is a mixed batch.

Is there any other way to tell what firmware it runs on other than turning it on? I've not yet unboxed the phone, and if this one runs on 4.0.2 firmware, I'll most probably sell it and get one from week 32 or earlier.

Many thanks in advance,
kchika

LMAO.. Seriously youd sell it just to get a 4.0.1?

Instead of using it for a bit as 4.1 is due to be out in September and then jailbreak will most likely will be released for it again..

This might seem like a newbie question, but does the version of the firmware vary depending on the phone's location? How is it possible for a week 38 unit to still have 4.0?

Well, I unboxed my iPhone yesterday... and it's a 4.0.2. Thought somebody might be interested.

my week 31 - 4.0.1

my buddy has a week 32 and his is also 4.0.1.

Was thinking of getting another phone but it seems new stock is 4.0.2?
