Yesterday I got my 3Gs and testing my apps on it I found that ABContacts, which was a bit slow with LARGE address book (more than 2000 contacts) now is very fast.
The address book iPhone SDK is very limited so it was hard to develop a fast app for user with large address book but now with the 3Gs even this size is handled well.
It seems that this time, instead of optimizing the address book handling library, it was simpler to use faster hardware
Now imagine how fast ABContacts and similar app can be if only the software library on the iPhone OS will be optimized...
