i had to switch to this mac from my mac mini (am on a g4 workstation) and myspace is a big deal for me. i logged into myspace (btw- how do i get safari to memorize login info!? 2.03) and as soon as my page was loading, after login, as soon as it was DONE that is, it crashes. safari quits unexpectedly, etc.
i reopen and try, same thing, different login. so it is not my specific page. so i installed shock and flash. that worked somewhat as i could now access my messages and do stuff...but as i was writing a response to my drummer friend, safari crashed AGAIN!!!

i NEED myspace for work and dont know what to do?

any help would be appreciated.

thanks

ps tried installing update, i guess safari 2.03 is best i can get for 10.4.6?

oroginally, i started using this machne for protools, which is music software and has specific osx compatibility. 10.4.6 was probably the niche

First off you shouldnt go to MySpace... It is bad for your health!

2nd off...
Update your system man, 10.2 to 10.4 is a whole OS upgrade. Unless you have a reason not to 10.4.11 (I think it is now) is out, this is a free update in software update and will most likely fix the problem. If the OS update doesnt, then going to Safari 3 will!

hm thanks i will do that update and let u all know how it works.
hah myspace...is a big thing for a band. :) i have had endorsements, bookings, star contacts, you name it- all thru myspace

i am having a pw problemo now
seems as tho i forgot my user pass. it says i can reset it by installing the 0s x again, but to do that it requests my pw? ox-22...
do i wipe the drive somehow? what do i do? i am searchin for the pw

Never hurts to just try a blank password.

If that doesn't work, boot your OS 10.4 DVD and once the menus appear, select Reset password from Utilities.

...what? care to please revise this and make it make sense.

He has downloaded the 10.4.11 update, however, when he proceeds to install the update the system requests his administrator password. The problem he has is that he cannot remember his password and thus wondering if there is a work around as to resolve this conundrum.

Well, that is what I am assuming he is trying to communicate with his 'cool online lingo'.
