While doing a search on computers, one of my search results came with porn ads. I have never ever seen this happen before on the iPad or in OS X. I have all the proper setting. I was in shock for this crap to appear, especially from a google search. Anyone else had any type of ads pop up?

He has a genuine concern that the ad's might be faked due to spyware or otherwise (right?). If your not using an anti-virus, take your computer to the store, give it to someone else, then go home. Kidding. Sort of.

Anyway, try AVG Free edition, works great, also Spybot search and destroy (but make sure you download it from download.com, lots of fakes out there.)

Beyond that, clear cookies and etc. IF that's what your worried about. The more likely solution is that it was just a fluke, some people "game" google by forcing their ads and results up on more popular searches, using bots and what not.

Edit: Well you weren't clear, did you mean "This never happened on OSX or iOS but it happened on my Windows PC?" Or just that it was happening on OSX? If it's happening on OSX it's not super likely it's spyware or a virus, at least not as likely as if it's a Windows PC. If that's the case, they are just gaming google. You may try reporting the link to google and tell them how you stumbled upon it.

Have never had this happen in OSX or the iPad or my iPod touch when doing a google search. I couldn't believe this. It was like a film strip going across the bottom of search request but above my search results. Each film segment had the arrow pointing to the right like you see a clip on a web page for you to press to watch. BTW, I always clear everything in safari when I'm finish web browsing. Wish I could have taken a snap shot. Btw, I run ubuntu on my 2 servers .

Normally the ads are related to the content you are looking for on google search (or on websites displaying google ads). If it wasn't the case there's 2 possiblities, either you have a spyware on your computer displaying fake ads on your browser, or someone had fun making porn ads related to keywords wich had nothing to do with porn. (Don't know if this is possible though).

This happened on my iPad. Not on any computer. The search I was doing was for xeon processors. Beats the heck out of me how this happened. If it happens again, I'll use my camera phone and take a picture.

Just press the home and power button at the same time and it will take a screen capture.
