Here is my issue:

At the gym I leave my phone in the bag and connected/gym wifi.

Listening to Apple Music and jamming away and the minute I get to far from my phone it cuts off and can't flip to using wifi directly from the AW... my guess is it can still see the phone so it attempts to use it- and sometimes to far still within gym and wifi it switches to LTE...

I tried turning my phone wifi and bt off and was still having weirdness... How are people getting around this or what should I do differently?

Would like for Apple Music to work via WIFI directly to my AW

Are you sure the Watch can use wifi at the gym? Turning off phone Bluetooth and then looking at the Watch connection should show the phone icon, rather than the cloud icon, if wifi connect is working. (Careful to use settings on iPhone to shut off wifi, otherwise the new control center wifi behavior may confuse things.)

You may also be seeing the delay in switching from wifi to lte on the Watch. I've seen and others have posted that there can be a delay when the Watch loses wifi/Bluetooth connection to the lte connection coming up. That would probably cause music issues. It will probably be slowest if you have lower lte signal.

Will check when I get back into the gym and reply back! Appreciate all of that info- as I feel certain it might be some of that.

One other piece of the puzzle is Airpods too- Will cut BT off on phone and verify and see if that helps the scenario!

Amazing... toggled bluetooth off hard in settings and verified watch on WIFI no hiccups and worked perfect...

Thanks so much CobraPA was about to yank out my hair!!! LOL
