Weird Audio Problem with SlingPlayer

So this is a super odd bug and requires a hard reset on the 7+ to overcome.

I'm listening to SlingPlayer on Audio only.

then...when switching from wifi back to LTE I get a disconnect. then when I try to re-connect to slingplayer it allows me to do so however there is no audio.

Further- NO AUDIO AT ALL WORKS. no music no sounds no ringer no nada.

it requires a hard reset.

Any ideas of what could be causing this? how can an app "slinglayer" do this?
