Hello all,

Something weird just happened to my new iPad's battery. It was fully charged overnight. When I woke it up, it was already at 98%. Then the battery started going down quicker than usual. I restarted it, and now it's back to 100% and staying there. Anyone experienced this?

You've got a partial charge. Check your charger to see if everything is connected properly. This can happen on any electronics using li-ion batteries. You'll want to drain the battery full way and then recharge it until it reaches 100%. That normally stabilizes the battery so then it knows how much real charge it has.

Yes, this is called calibration, and really let go dead, zip, nada.

LOL thanks everyone. I was not panicking. Just thought it was weird. Had an iPad since the first one, and never saw this before. I got this new iPad at launch. Okay, I'll just chalk this up to solar flares or a glitch in the Matrix.
