I have noticed that when I export a photo, drag and drop or other method, to my desktop from the Photos App on my iMac, it is creating these weird black lines on them (black squiggly lines on the bottom of the photo). I typically drag out any photos that I need to send or share to the desktop and run them through ImageOptim to strip any GPS or EXIF data from the photos before I send them. These photos are in my iCloud Photo Library and the original photo looks fine on my iPhone, iPad and on my Macs (in the Photos app), but when I drag the photo out of the Photos App to upload it, many of them show these weird lines even before I run them through ImageOptim. It is not happening on all of my photos, but most of the ones that I've tried are showing these lines. Maybe its caused by the conversion from HEIC to JEPG, I don't know, but if anyone has any idea how to fix it, I would appreciate the input.

Any ideas?

Yep, I’ve had this. I presume it’s a bug in Mojave, I changed the settings on my iPhone back from HEIC to JPEG for the time being. Hopefully this will be worked out in the next update. Just curious which Mac you are using? Also, tried exporting through a HEIC to JPEG converter and that seemed to work.

2013 iMac 27" with NVIDIA GTX775M GPU. I haven't tried to do this on my 2017 MacBook Pro to see if I can recreate it on that machine.

Interesting my iMac is the 2013 model too. Let me know how you get on with your MacBook, I’ll be upgrading my iMac later this month.
