Hello,
I am using a MBP 2011 15" and I control the usage of discrete GPU (dGPU) and integrated GPU (iGPU) with gfxCardStatus. Usually, I leave it on dynamic switching if plugged in and force integrated for battery life.
Now I got a weird bug with Mission control. Whenever I shut down the computer while it was on integrated (either forced or by dynamic switching), the next time I start up, Mission Control will show all the windows of the apps fine, but no Desktops (see screenshot). Additionally, I cannot change my wallpaper background (it just won't change, regardless of which I choose) and the Launchpad app has the standard gray background instead of the blurred wallpaper one.
If the GPU switches (either manually or forced by an app), everything is fine again from that point on (either on iGPU or dGPU).
I am running on 10.7.2
Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help,
mape

EDIT: Deinstalled gfxCardStatus as a test, bug persists. Also, I can fix the bug by selecting iGPU from the gfxCardStatus menu (even though I am already on iGPU via dynamic switching). So it does not have switch between the two GPUs to fix the issue...weird?!
