Hi all. Got a refurbished 2015 Macbook Pro last summer, ended up with various issues which resulted in me sending it back and them putting in a new logic board and supplying a new (off-brand) charger.

Anyway, this fixed all the problems except one - when I drain the battery to the point of shutdown, the Macbook won't start up again until the battery is charged beyond a certain point. It can be plugged in and showing an orange charge light, but I press the power button and it just shows me the red charging icon on screen. Sometimes I have to wait for 20-30 minutes before I can turn it on again.

Also when its in this state sometimes the led on the plug is green when clearly the battery is not charged.

SMC reset did not help. Any ideas? All help much appreciated, thanks!

I think that's normal. There needs to be a minimum battery charge to boot.
