Weird Chronograph Complication Behavior

I have a 2nd generation with version 3.2 sw. The following behavior is only for Chronograph faces:
When updating the complications, the new complication overwrites the previous complication, until it becomes a jumbled mess. This happens when changing any or all complications....but only Chronograph faces. Did a hard reset (which took about 5 minutes to boot-up!!!) on the watch and the phone, but no luck!!! Any ideas? and received it new at Christmas.
