Hi!
I'm new here. I not long ago became a Mac user after getting a MacBook Pro. Everything works great, but I recently found some weird messages in the Console.

I've been noticing that the time it takes from the login screen to when Finder and Dock and everything fully loads takes unusually long. In the Console, it seems that my Dock crashes seemingly more than once. Well, here is my Console log from when I log in to when I opened this browser window:

I've made the parts of the log that doesn't seem right to me in red. I might be wrong. Those might show up normally, but being new to Mac OS X, I don't really know what a "normal" Console log looks like.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Try uninstalling he HP printer software, and see if the problem goes away.

Thanks! I'll try uninstalling and then reinstalling the HP printer driver.

But do you think that that the driver is causing all the stuff in red?

Actually, i'm not so sure. The stuff in red isn't targeting one thing, but lots of different things, system, and apps. Maybe try repairing disk permissions, but if that doesn't fix anything i would suggest a reinstall.

I am having the same items appear too (the ones in red). I have recently upgraded to leopard and it takes longer to start up compared with tiger.

I have the same Unknown Key: SHAuthorizationRight ones come up?!

Anyone know what these are?

Problem very likely caused by Microsoft Office 2004

I have been trying to track this down for ages.

This message happens after I installed them removed Microsoft Office 2004 on a brand-new Intel MBPro.

Other Console messages and Crash reports related to bus errors which happen in launchd while itis processing com.apple.Dock are 99.99999% certainly due to Office 2004 and its totally fubar'd installation processes.

I would be very glad to correspond directly about this --- cb0 at ME dot com
