Hi, New MBP 13" user here with OsX 10.6.4.
Lately i've been noticing a reoccuring message on my console and was wondering if anyone here would know what it means:

It's been like this for some days and feel a tiny bit paranoid. Any clue?

Thanks for the help!

No reason to be paranoid.

Have you installed any new Widgets or added any new icons to your Dock recently?

Thanks for replying. The only apps i've added to back to my dock are Mail and I recently installed NeoOffice. Are they the reason these errors are showing up on the console?
What do the errors mean?

Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure what the errors mean. Something to do with dock.agent trying to do some graphics, but failing. Maybe someone with more expertise can say more.

As an experiment, remove that Mail icon from your dock and restart your computer. Any change in Console?

Sorry for the late reply. I did as you suggested and so far for the past few hours no error messages! :) But what does this mean? Can I not put my mail app at the dock (or for that matter use it?) or now that I know the cause of the error it's ok to use Mail? Is there something I should/n't do?

Just wanna say thank you so much for all your help! You're a star!

You're welcome.

If the Console messages are indeed gone for good, I'd conclude that they were related to that Mail icon being in your dock. But unless your computer was experiencing problems, the messages themselves were not really something to worry too much about. I'd probably put that Mail icon back in the dock again and see if the messages return. In any case, you should certainly use Mail as needed; you can always start it simply by double-clicking on it in your Applications folder.

[EDIT] The appearance of the Mail icon changes, since it shows a counter with the number of messages in your Inbox. I wonder if updating that counter is the cause of the problem. If you wanted to experiment, in Mail you could go to Preferences->General and set "Dock unread count" to "None". That might stop the console messages while still allowing the Mail icon to remain in the dock.
