HI all, hope you can help me! I have all my Contacts in Google/Gmail, and I have an Account set up in Contacts to bring them all down/sync them.

Noticed today, that on 2 different Macs, the Contacts app has 2,758 contacts, and the other has 2,757. On Google/Gmail though via a web browser, it has 2,755 contacts. Neither reports any duplicates. So on both Macs I tried, disabling the Google Account, and the number on Contacts reported on the Mac Contacts app went to 0. Then I re-enabled the Google account, and it went back to 2,757/2,758 (I tried on both Macs), still 2 or 3 more contacts the Google says it has!

Any idea what's going on, or more importantly how to resolve the discrepancy? Thanks!

I am not sure if this works:

Export the contacts from all three sources. Create a new empty list in contacts and import the exports to the new list, check for duplicates, remove the duplicates and check the number of contacts.

As said I am not sure if this works but you could give it a try. Make sure though to have a backup (TimeMachine or otherwise) of the current contacts database.
