Weird contacts problem

Hi all - send yourself someone's phone number (just the number not the contact details) and try to add it to an existing contact. Or a new contact.

For me when I try to add to existing contact it adds a new contact.
When I try to add a new contact it tries to start facetime.

WTH!? Any advice? Phone wasn't restored from backup.

I just sent a phone number to myself (via SMS).
No issues adding that number to a current or new contact.

But the again, i have 3Gs with iOS4.

update - reset settings fixed this

update - not working again - re-applying some setting appears to have broken it again

Anyone???
