Hello,
I have a problem with my macbook pro mid 2010.
It's kind af a weird problem and I was hoping someone here has a solution for it.
I tried many thing like replacing HDD to SSD and replacing SSD, resetting lots of things(smc, nvram) , repairing lot's of things (disk utility, formatted hard drive, running diagnostics and the repair tool) and now I'm stuck an don't know what else to do.
Here is my problem and the situation:
I installed a new SSD in my macbook pro, cleaned my fan and upgraded to El capitan.
That is when the problem started:
After the install of El capitan everything worked fine (with the new SSD).
After a few hours my macbook slowed down, I tried to reboot because I thought there was something wrong or some program blocking everything, when restarting it was starting op really slow showing the apple logo and progress bar, when the progress-bar was around 70% I got an error of a Prohibitory symbol (stop sign) on a grey screen. I rebooted went to disk utility and saw that my hard drive was recognized as one big file under others instead of XXGb files and documents.
I reinstalled the software on my harddrive and everything worked fine, after rebooting 2 or 3 times I get stuck at the same problem. the error of the "stop/prohibitory" sign and need to reinstall el capitan. All my other files and software works fine, just need to reinstall el capitan an it recognizes everything else fine.
It is really annoying to reinstall el capitan, because it take hours to install and it wil just work for a few hours it is so depressing
Because my mac is vintage, there are no spare parts, Switch (official apple reseller Belgium) took a look at it and said the harddrive is fine and the cable for the harddrive is fine but the wouldn't do any effort to check anything else so I just hope it's not the logicboard or something and hope that I can repair it.
