Weird Device Rename Bug

OK.

I don't know what's up with my iPad!!! I used the iOS 8 beta, iOS 8 GM, iOS 8, and iOS 8.0.2 and never noticed this bug. But since updating to 8.1, my iPad renames itself every few days.

For example, I renamed the device to "Paul's iPad Air" about a week ago. Last Friday, its name was "Paul's iPad Air (2)", and now its name is "Paul's iPad Air (3)".

Has anybody else encountered this bug? It only seems to be a problem on my iPad Air.

Heck mine will out of the blue rename its self to iPad. When it first happened I thought I was going nuts. But it does this at least once a week. Seems like when I notice it most often is after doing a battery recharge. :-(

I've noticed that too! I think it might be caused by iCloud Backup.
