Weird Dimming Issue

I recently bought a 2011 Mac Mini to use as a HTPC. While working in iTunes, the screen will dim, and I have to change desktops(i.e. switch to a new desktop window) for it to undim. I tried changing the energy saver settings, but it still does this. Any ideas?
