weird error with photoshop

so i proceeded to install the 4GB of ram today. my comp works fine so far, but photoshop wont start. it says cannot start photohsop because there is not enough memory (RAM) but I have 4 GB of ram...weird

Reseat the RAM. PRAM reset. If that doesn't work run a hardware test to see if any of the memory chips failed.
