Weird exit-animation when closing folders

When I close any folder from the full screen mode on Air M1, the screen sort of blinks black and closes the folder. Is this how exit-animation works on Macs? Here's the video recording this animation.

This is normal. When an app is in full screen it's on a second virtual desktop and macOS is closing that desktop when you close the full-screen app, hence the black screen. It should also do that on other full-screen apps as well.
