Weird Expose "bug"?

Hello everyone.

Has anyone else noticed this on their macbook pro?
Could it be that I am using an external monitor?
Sometimes my expose looks like this:

I thought it was suppose to be like that when using an external monitor as the boxes are different sizes to represent the different resolutions of the two monitors.

My expose looks like that, except the monitor on the right is portrait orientation

That's how spaces looks with multiple monitors.
