Hey guys,

I usually find my answers somewhere amongst other peoples threads hence the low post count, but I cannot find info on this anywhere.

Both my download folder and user folder cannot be organised with the top tabs when in list view. In every other folder I can click the name, date modified, size etc to rearrange by that property. In these folders however those options are greyed out. Have attached screenshots to show the difference.

Has anyone else come across this or know how to fix it?

Thanks!

In Finder, go to View/Arrange By and select None - then you should be able to click the column headers to sort

Finder apparently retains this setting independently for each folder

Joe you are a freaking legend!

Thanks so much for your help :)
