Weird folders in Trash...

The last two days I have noticed that there are 4 folders in my Trash; Application Support, Filesystems, Frameworks, and Preferences. There are no files in these folders, but I can't get rid of them via "empty trash".

I have rebooted, and they are still there.

Any suggestions?

Make a new folder. Move those folders into the new folder. Put that folder back in the Trash and delete it.
