Had the strangest issue not long ago on my MacBook, which is not my regular-use computer and curious if anyone can offer an explanation.

Running a Google search on Firefox from the search bar, I wound up with a page full of garbled search results. Any Google page I called up (Google.com, Gmail, etc.) showed garbled text (i.e: axxjadjiaosgui) and some font I couldn't on buttons.

Google was the only page that showed this phenomenon, although other sites (like Hotmail) also featured the wrong fonts.

Any idea what might have happened? Honestly the first time I've ever thought about the possibility of having some sort of virus or malware, but I can't think of any risky behavior on the laptop... particularly not on my admin account.
