Weird Gmail behavior in iOS Mail

My wife and I both use Gmail on our iPhones with the standard settings for archiving behavior. When I press the archive button in the middle at the bottom, the message disappears. But when my wife presses the archive button, she gets a popup option to either 'Archive Message' or 'Cancel'. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this extra step for my wife?

Settings > Mail > Accounts > Account > Advanced > Move discarded messages into: Check Archive Mailbox

In Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Mail, is Ask Before Deleting toggled OFF?
