i'm having a weird display issue... and wondered if it's graphics card, my 17" LCD (one of the first ones) or just a software issue.

Any ideas?

I'm STUMPED

I appreciate your thoughts....

Wow, you have a really wide screen :D

Looks to be a graphics card issue. Its a tough call though - does it flicker? It could be a connection problem as well.

Any Apple stores near you? Might have to get Apple to fix it....

Good luck,

D

No. It doesn't flicker.

Just leaves those weird ghosts. If i open a folder over them, they disapper, but some will keep popping up intermittently when i swicth apps.

I was thinking about hooking up the display to my powerbook but i'd have to buy that ADC to miniVGA adapter and thoght I'd try here before I go spend $149 bucks!

Yea. I'm guessing it could be monitor, connection, graphics card or software.

Hopefully software. May reinstall panther later..

Well, its certainly not the monitor. My guess would be that the OS or the graphics drivers are corrupted somehow. It might also be a video card issue, but I somehow doubt it.

that's what I was hoping to hear. :)

I'll reinstall panther... maybe that'll do it.

I'm on a QS DP1.0ghz... so it's not too ancient...
