I got a refurbished white MacBook about three weeks ago and so far I have not had very many problems; none of them, including this one, have been serious.
Sometime today I noticed that when the backlights are not lighting up the screen, like when the computer is off, or is asleep, that instead of black; the screen is of a kind-of greenish color. I have also felt that my screen has become a bit more reflective than normal... but that might be that I am just using the laptop in different areas.

I am wondering if maybe the glossy coating has been damaged, but I doubt it.

Any help is appreciated :)

The backlight might be off, but the actual LCD is not.

You can set a Hot Corner for display sleep and see for yourself.
