I don't know if it's coincidence or not but since buying my new MBP iMessage has had a few quirks. Firstly on my iMac certain messages don't come through, yet they come through on my MBP and iPhone. It's only certain contacts though.
Secondly, iMessage stopped sending messages to my wife and if she sent one if came though as her number (rather than name) and had the UK prefix +44 instead of 0. If I changed her contact details so the number starts +44 it now comes up with her name and I can also send messages back to her.
Any idea what's causing the two glitches, and how to solve the first one? I've logged out of iCloud on the iMac and signed back in again but this didn't fix it. Would updating to OS High Sierra fix this? Are there any problems upgrading to High Sierra? I've heard that upgrading software can introduce glitches and you're better off doing a fresh install, which I don't want to do as I've just gone through the whole setup and file transfer malarky with the new MBP.
Any help appreciated.
