Weird iPhone 4 texting problem

I just noticed today that whenever I try to send a text to someone from using my contacts, when the screen switches over to text, the person I texted last through my contacts appears at the top of the screen. Let's say I just sent Jason a text through my contacts screen. Now I want to send Mary a text. When it switches screens, Jasons' name is in the 'To' section. It will keep doing this no matter who I try to text.

Have the latest 4.1 and think I may have to do a restore?
