Here's a jpeg of my podcasts in itunes.

At the bottom of the pic, it says 49 items, 8 hours, 406.4 MBs. That number or time doesn't appear to be right if you look above. I have eight podcasts totaling about five hours or so. Even if you include the actual list of podcasts, it only comes to 23 items. Is this a known bug? Or does the podcast library count other things than podcasts? Anyone know?

All right, I finally figured this out and thought I'd post it here for anyone who ends up having the same problem.

I guess when I went to import two albums I downloaded, they were labeled as 'podcasts' instead of the music genre they were supposed to be...and the albums ended up in the podcast menu AND in the music library, creating two copies of the file. Deleting one wouldn't affect the other.

Also, the album that ends up in the podcast menu doesn't end up appearing under the 'View As List' option in the menu bar. If you switch it to 'View As Grid,' they appear...and can be deleted.

I hope that makes sense.
