weird itunes bug

i have been getting this problem latley.

every song or video i play, for some reason gets moved from my "itunes music" folder where all the media is stored, and the song or video is put into my main itunes media folder.

That's the problem. Every time you play a music file, iTunes will add it to your library, making a copy and storing it in your iTunes Media folder. If you already have your music files in the Music subfolder, uncheck the boxes and then in iTunes, select File > Add to Library and browse to select that Music folder. iTunes will add all that music to your library without making copies, leaving your music files exactly where you have them now.

Do you have your music organized in the music folder? If so, unchecking the boxes means iTunes won't reorganize your music.
