Out of nowhere when I click on certain items on the keyboard like, command, alt control or shift, I hear sound followed by the keystroke showing up on my desktop as pictured below. Never seen this before. Any clue as to what it may be or more importantly, how to get rid of it?

Still there after a reboot, even from cold from reboot.

Thanks

Should be a simple fix:

The offending option is sticky keys is enabled. Either disable sticky keys, in the Accessibility Preferences, or just uncheck the pictured options.

Cheers

Thanks. I've been wondering how those got checked and I think it happened when I installed Ventrilo. Th problem occurred after the installation.

:D Reminds me of my non-tec savvy buddy who managed to turn all the accessibility options on.....A frantic phone call and all was well again. The features are useful and I have a partially sighted pal who finds them very good, allowing him to use his Mac more easily.
