Wonder if this bizarre event has happened to anyone:
Just back from a trip, installed Lightroom 1.3 on my Mac, imported lots of photos onto LR, followed by a bunch from my desktop whilst emailing + reading internet news. Then, using Mac's Spaces I go back to my desktop and all the photos there - which of course in Leopard usually show icons of themselves - now show only the standard jpg file icon + none of them will open. So, I restart my Mac and it takes more time than usual to get off the grey screen ... then the desktop appears and not one icon of a file/photo etc. is on it - it's blank apart from the Macinstosh HD icon. All my photos seem to be in LR or in iPhoto, but I haven't checked yet whether all my docs survived.
Any idea what just happened...?
