Weird Mail App Behaviour

There is some weird behaviour occurring with my Mail app. Every so often I'll go to open it and it'll appear completely blank. I'll try and tap the refresh button and it won't respond. I end up closing/opening again and again (after deleting it from "multitasking" bar) but it won't solve. Then eventually it'll show my e-mails. Really weird. Anyone experiences this? Only started happen in last few months but became quite prominent recently.

Well I only saw in now and sorry I don't have a clue, but maybe this will wake someone up? Maybe lots of messages to load? What are your settings?
