I have Googled this problem and seen just a couple people report it, but I am wondering if anyone has any ideas.
As background to the problem, I am in a group in Messages with 3 other people. We have had the group going for several years, it has to be huge in number of videos and pictures. We all use Messages in iCloud.
Whenever I post to the group, one other person sees the group picture change - and it reports I changed it on their device! They change it back, and it sticks until I post again. No one else sees the picture change (including me). Restarting her or phone does not help. I think usually use my Mac to post to Messages, restarting does not help. It seems the few people that have posted on this believe the problem is on the receiving end since only one person sees the picture change.
I thought of
- each of us, try sender, then try receiver, leave the group and come back;
- maybe the group has gotten too big, just end using the group and start a new one?
- the receiver is reluctant to turn off iCloud messages and turn it back on, as that will likely take a couple of days to sync up.
Any other ideas, or have you heard of this problem? Thanks!
