Weird MP3 playback

Hi guys,

Maybe one of you guys can help me figure this out. I typically use the quicktime player to play back mp3 files at higher speed. However, there are about a dozen or so mp3 files that will not open with quicktime player for some reason. The quicktime player says it will not open them because they are not movie files. Any ideas?
