General Weird Overlay at the top

I jailbroke my iPhone 5S and whenever I watch a movie or something, there is the overlay at the top that says my carrier and the battery. I know that it is not supposed to be there because it wasn't there before the jailbreak. I've restored and jailbroke it twice but the same thing. Basically, the time and carrier shows even in apps where it is not supposed to. Any suggestions?

PS: This is before any tweaks were installed
