Weird PB light sensor reaction

I dont know if its always happened - dont think so- but i recently noticed my PB's screen brightness goes to 50% if i cover the speakers with my hands. I suppose its got something to do with the light sensor. Is this normal??

Do you have a PowerBook or a MacBook Pro?

Try going to System Preferences -> Displays -> Uncheck "Automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes"
Do you have that option on the PBs?

Thanks Ryox... that's solved it. I have to say it was a bit annoying as soemtimes when i type the screen brightness changed.

Yeah i hate that option, I always have it unchecked. Makes my eyes go funny if my screen pulses too much.
