I've been using Macs for quite a while. I'm seeing a weird issue I've NEVER seen before. When I'm on the internet it hangs frequently. My mouse stops working and even more weird, when that occurs, whatever window I have open, browser or terminal, will resize at random, larger and then smaller by 1/4 of an inch or so. It doesn't happen every time the system hangs but it's frequent. In the Activity Monitor there's nothing significant. Right after boot, kernel_task is using about 50% of CPU percentage, but then after that dies down and I can work normally, when I'm on the internet kernel_task stays about 3%-4%.

I am having something similar perhaps. Every now and then the system freezes for one or two seconds during which typing or moving the mouse doesn't work. I am not sure of when it started.
