I know am going to have to send it back , but just wondered if anyone else had had this happen !
Yesterday it was only one of the angled areas at side.
 
It could be the picture, but it looks like a water spot on the LCD.

Dropped it water or anything?

Otherwise its just a defective LCD. Get a exchange from apple.
 
excess heat especially localized to a part of the screen can cause observable tint changes. anything to do with heat (sunspots, flames, even hot laptop extended contact) that you recall of?
 
That looks like the sort of damage that would arise from pressure being applied to one part of the screen for an extended period of time.

If that isn't the case then just send it back to Apple and I'm sure they'll send you a replacement :)

I know it's covered just wondered what had possibly caused it .
